This spoiler is written by one of our Canadian LeeList members, Catherine Kerr.

The episode takes place on board the Taelon mother ship; Zo'or, Da'an, Liam, Sandoval, Lili and a media consultant named Gibson are present in the opening scene.  Gibson has been hired to counteract the negative publicity which is largely due to the efforts of the wily Jonathan Doors. Gibson has arranged to have a pert, bubbly tabloid reporter named Abby Franklin tour the mother ship, interview the Taelons and humans on board and broadcast her results live.  Liam is derisive of the whole PR exercise, saying that Abby Franklin is a *tabloid reporter*.

The Taelon mother ship suddenly accelerates into high speed and heads out into inter-dimensional space; Sandoval and Lili discover that the navigation systems have been reprogrammed and control of the ship has been taken over by forces unknown. It gets very interesting at this point; Da'an insists that the logical thing to do is to jettison the inter-dimensional core; Zo'or, paralysed by indecision and fear, is unable to act; he allows Da'an to make the decision to jettison the inter-dimensional core. The ship leaves inter-dimensional space, but is trapped in a bubble created when the inter-dimensional core was jettisoned.

When security tapes are reviewed, they show Liam at the navigation console, manipulating controls;  Zo'or accuses Liam of sabotage and treason and orders Sandoval to place him in detention; Sandoval offers Liam *rehabilitation Taelon style* in return for a full confession, and Liam declines.  In one scene, Da'an asks Liam if he is the culprit and Liam denies it -an interesting scene because Da'an discusses his ties to the Resistance and his fears about the Synod learning of them as well as Liam's heritage; Liam points out that he depends on Da'an's silence about his heritage as much as Da'an depends on his  silence.  Lili enters and releases Liam after asking him if he is responsible for the ship's new course. Liam says that he was not present when the navigation system was sabotaged -he was down loading new passwords for Augur; she asks for the password to his global in order to access it and prove his alibi, and he tells her his password is "MULDER1".

On being released from detention, Liam encounters the replicant (Gibson) still disguised as himself; it is using the information in the ship's databases to masquerade as anyone on the ship and has taken control of the mother ship's navigation system.  There is a struggle in which the replicant assumes its real form; Abby captures it all on tape and substantiates Liam's story to Da'an, Zo'or and Sandoval.  Abby tells Liam that she has researched his past and that there is little or no information on him between the time of the SI wars and his appointment as Da'an's  protector -this worries Liam very much indeed.

There are frantic efforts on the part of everyone to regain control of the ship and some power is restored, thanks to Liam's tinkering  with a little *button pushing* from Abby at a critical moment (she is attracted  to Liam and is following him about).  During a search of the ship, the replicant is discovered at the navigation console masquerading as Sandoval; Liam recognizes it because it has no skrill (this info on Sandoval is not in the ship's computer so the replicant does not know about the skrill).  There is another struggle and Liam's Sha'karava activates automatically; it is captured on tape by Abby; she demands to know who what Liam is and he says he cannot tell her. He more or less asks her not to reveal his secret; she says she is a reporter and that this is *the biggest story ever*.

Zo'or, having realized that the mother ship has been commandeered by the replicant and is actually on route to the Jaridian home world, decides to destroy the ship with everyone on it to prevent the Jaridians from capturing it.  Liam and Lili decide to use the shuttles to blast a hole and release the mother ship from the bubble; they do so and are successful, but for a few moments it looks as though that Liam did not escape.  During the manoeuvre, the replicant is killed; the ship is freed and changes course back toward earth.

Just before she leaves the mother ship, Abby forcibly kisses Liam, telling him that she will be back (or words to that effect); Liam does not appear to respond.  One of the final scenes is of Abby returning to earth in the shuttle, erasing the tape on which she captured footage of Liam's Sha'karava activating.  At the end, Augur having accessed the data from the mother ship, tells Liam that the Jaridian empire is much bigger than the Taelon empire, and that the Jaridians seem to be winning.

There are some very interesting scenes toward the end of this episode; one, a confrontation between Zo'or and Da'an in which Da'an virtually accuses Zo'or of concealing his actions to his Taelon brethren, saying that at their next confrontation he and not Zo'or will have the advantage.  There is also one scene in which Sandoval apologizes for accusing Liam of treason and commends him for his courage and loyalty.  Liam asks Sandoval to consider all his options and Sandoval says he is *keeping an open mind*, echoing Lili's plea in an earlier episode.
